Hendrix London Flat Now Open to Public

Hi All,

Jimi's London flat where he passed 40 years ago next month is now open to the public. Check out some of this interesting footage of how it appeared in 1970.

The Hendrix statue we did for our original Guitar Hero series had Jimi clad in the military tunic he wore when he first hit London in 1967/68. We did several verions including both a color and gray-scale nostalgia paint scheme to give you the feel of the black and white photos from that period. You can see that here http://knucklebonz.com/jimihendrix.html

We miss you Jimi,

Hi All,

Just did a final review with DIO management of the RJD Rock Iconz(R) statue. Wendy DIO found a great photo of Ronnie that shows some additional details for his leggings and scarves. Will be making one final pass in that area and we will be final on the sculpt. Molds will then be made and we begin the prototype painting stage. Will get pics to fans as soon as we get final approval there. All still looks good to ship in December in time for the holidays....

More soon,

Dio Final Sculpt - Ronnie's Costume Here at the Studio

Hi All,

Just finished a review of our Dio sculpt and made plans for what we think will be final changes over the next 2 days. We actually received Ronnie's purple and black leggings from his 1984 costume here at the studio to help with those details. Very cool to see those up close...

Getting ready for a big press release on a big series of figures that will come to Rock Iconz for the next 3 years...we are buzzin' here about that. Can't wait to let you'all in on it.

Latrs,

Hi All,

Lots of movement over the weekend on Dio and the super secret new project we will let out in a couple of weeks. Dio's sculpt was shown to his management and wife Wendy for the first time. All are thrilled...we are expecting some actual costume elements from 1984 @ the studio here today to help with detailing. If all keeps moving at this pace, will be able to share the final RJD sculpt w/ fans soon...

Thx,

Kbonz

Sculpt Revisions "The MOB RULES"

Hi All,

Lots of revisions going on for holiday KnuckleBonz® products as well as some things that we will debut for 2011. We are also beginning a website redesign…it’s about time ;0

Spent a good deal of time with Dio's Rock Iconz® piece yesterday. We are beginning to refine his costume as well as small details on his portrait/hair. His boots are looking smashing if we do say so here. I would say we are at about 80% on the figure. If all keeps moving forward we hope to be showing the sculpt to Wendy Dio and Niji managment next week for the first time....excited and nervous as always.

The other officially licensed stuff we are working on is still held up in legal (ahhhh). Can share that soon.

Thx,

Kbonz

Well Wishes on Dio Project

Hi All,

Thanks to all of you who have called and emailed about our new Ronnie James Dio Rock Iconz® project. We have shared your well wishes with Wendy Dio and all the people at Ronnie’s Management Company, Niji. Everyone is touched and excited.

Ronnie’s sculpt is well underway and we are beginning to dial in the costume details. Dean at Niji provided us with some great concert footage from 1984 that is guiding us…will share pics of work in progress as soon as we can.

Lots of other KnuckleBonz limited edition statues are underway as well, but we can’t let you in on them until all those nasty contract and business details are nailed down…sigh. Some of these will be a bit of a departure for us so we hope all our fans and collectors around the world are into it.

Thx,

Kbonz

Ronnie James Dio Rock Iconz Statue

Hi All,

By now many of you are hearing of our new Rock Iconz® project for Ronnie James Dio. To say it’s a great honor and privilege to be working with Ronnie’s family and friends at the Niji Entertainment Group would be the understatement of the year. While there is much excitement here about this new statue, it’s not without mixed emotion. It was not a matter of “if” we would try to get w/ Ronnie to create a limited edition piece for our Rock Iconz Series it was just “when.” One of last internal meetings on new projects was after Thanksgiving 2009. At that time we had just learned on RJDs illness so we thought it best to wait for his recovery to approach Niji for a project. As we now know, Ronnie was very sick w/ his cancer and that recovery would not come.

Most of us here at KnuckleBonz were onto Dio early with the first Rainbow records. Ronnie’s soaring vocals and unrivaled talent on top of the mystical elements of that band were a one-of-a kind combo. We never left Ronnie’s music from that point on and we never will.

Will be blogging here as regularly as we can to give you updates on the production…more soon.

Thx,

Kbonz

PS – Portions of our proceeds from the sales of this limited edition statue at www.knucklebonz.com will go to the Ronnie James Dio "Stand Up and Shout" Cancer Fund . . .
